The Asymmetric Impact of Energy consumption on economic growth; Empirical Evidence from the Jordanian Economy

Objectives: This study aims to demonstrate the asymmetric impact of energy consumption on Jordan's economic growth, addressing a range explanatory variables mainly total consumption, fixed capital formation, and labor force from 1990 2019.
 Methods: The used autoregressive lagging time lag model in its non-linear form (NARDL) for regression analysis. To achieve this purpose, unit root test, Wald-test asymmetry Cointegration set validity tests were used.
 Results: results confirm that growth represented by GDP is disproportionately affected changes consumption. Furthermore, selected have had expected line with theory previous literature.
 Conclusions: recommended shocks sector should be considered analysis relationship, whether positive or reverse long short term, as they are important decision-makers limit such growth.
